What can you see at Pérez Art Museum Miami?

Pérez Art Museum Miami presents a selection from a collection of nearly 3,000 works across eight galleries. The museum’s focus includes art connected to Latin America, the Caribbean, the African diaspora and the U.S. Latinx experience.
The galleries are arranged across two floors: two are on the first floor and six on the second. Permanent-collection tours cover artworks, exhibitions, sculptures and architectural elements. PAMM also offers featured Black Art Tours, Pride Tours and tours in Spanish.
The museum’s history began in 1984, when the Center for Fine Arts opened to the public. In 1994, the center began its transformation into an institution with a permanent collection of international 20th- and 21st-century art. It moved to its current building in 2013 and was renamed the Jorge M. Pérez Art Museum of Miami-Dade County.
The three-story building was designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architects Herzog & de Meuron. It stands on an elevated platform beneath a canopy; both extend beyond the museum walls to form a shaded veranda and plazas.
